Berrigan Deep Zone Reveals Significant Semi-Massive Sulphide Mineralisation
TomaGold announced drill-hole TOM-25-015 results showing 5.75% zinc equivalent over 98.5m. Meanwhile, deeper sections reached 26.67% ZnEq across 4.9m. This confirms a new semi-massive sulphide zone, Berrigan Deep, remaining open for further exploration. Therefore, the discovery may indicate an extensive, high-grade mineralised system beneath known zones.
Shallow Drill-Holes Indicate Vein Extensions and Hydrothermal Activity
Drill-hole TOM-25-014 intersected 28.69% zinc equivalent over 2.1m at 185m depth. In contrast, alteration zones favor serpentinised peridotite and pyroxenite, confirming hydrothermal activity. As a result, these findings suggest westward vein extensions and structural continuity. Further borehole electromagnetic surveys will refine the 3D mineralisation model.
Future Drilling and Exploration Strategy for Berrigan Mine
TomaGold plans follow-up drilling on TOM-25-011 to TOM-25-013 and geophysical surveys in February. Meanwhile, modelling targets -250m to -500m intervals in northern Berrigan. Therefore, combining surface and borehole surveys will guide 2026 drilling for optimal resource delineation and potential expansion of the Berrigan Deep system.
ScrapInsight Commentary
The Berrigan Deep discovery strengthens Quebec’s non-ferrous mining outlook. High zinc-equivalent grades indicate significant future supply potential. Further drilling will define resource depth and support strategic investment decisions.
