Norsk Hydro ASA has initiated a controlled shutdown of its Qatalum aluminum production on March 3, following gas supply disruption. QatarEnergy, the primary gas supplier, reported a temporary suspension due to a drone attack and fire at the Ras Tanura refinery. As a result, Hydro aims to mitigate health, environmental, and safety risks during the shutdown while preparing for a future restart.
