Aerolloy Signs Agreement to Supply Airbus
India's Aerolloy Technologies signed a landmark agreement to develop and supply advanced titanium castings to European airframer Airbus. Aerolloy, a wholly owned subsidiary of PTC Industries, will produce fully machined components ready for immediate final assembly. Consequently, this strategic partnership establishes a clear pathway toward large-scale serial production for major commercial aircraft programmes.
Titanium Castings Drive Efficiency and Reduce Scrap
Titanium castings provide a near net-shape product profile for aerospace manufacturing. This advanced production method significantly lowers scrap material generation during the machining process to yield finished parts. Furthermore, the agreement covers critical structural components for the A320neo narrowbody jet alongside the A330neo and A350 widebody aircraft families.
ScrapInsight Commentary
This supply agreement highlights India's expanding role in high-value aerospace supply chains and specialized titanium component manufacturing.
Near net-shape casting technologies offer vital efficiency gains by minimizing metal scrap and optimizing raw material yield for premium aerospace manufacturers.
