Guardian Metal Resources has launched a strategic pilot programme to revitalize domestic tungsten production. This initiative focuses on processing legacy ore from the Tempiute Tungsten project in Nevada. By partnering with the Montana Mining Association, the Army Research Laboratory, and Montana Technological University, the firm aims to secure the US defence supply chain.

The pilot programme utilizes 250–400 tonnes of historical ore stockpiled at the Tempiute site. Teams will transport this material to Philipsburg, Montana, for advanced metallurgical testing and trial processing.
